Description We are looking for a detail-focused Accounting Assistant to join our team on a contract to permanent basis in Fresno, California. This role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage various accounting tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and QuickBooks, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Responsibilities: - Manage accounts payable processes, including coding and entering invoices accurately. - Handle accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely posting and reconciliation of payments. - Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. - Utilize QuickBooks to record transactions and generate financial reports. - Assist with payroll preparation and ensure compliance with established procedures. - Provide administrative support by organizing documents and maintaining accurate records. - Answer and manage a multi-line phone system, ensuring clear and effective communication. - Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth accounting operations. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a related role. - Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. - Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and its functionalities. - Experience with bank reconciliations and invoice coding. - Familiarity with payroll procedures and administrative tasks. - Excellent communication skills, including handling multi-line phone systems. - Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
