Human Resource Specialists Location Hybrid work in Petoskey, MI :

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and HR best practices. You will play a vital role in fostering a positive workplace culture, ensuring legal compliance, and supporting organizational goals through strategic HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:** Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and onboarding new employees. Employee Relations:** Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, resolve workplace conflicts, and promote a positive work environment. HR Policies & Compliance:** Develop, implement, and enforce HR policies in line with legal requirements and best practices; ensure organizational compliance with labor laws and regulations. Performance Management:** Support managers and employees in performance review processes, goal setting, and professional development initiatives. Compensation & Benefits:** Administer and communicate employee benefits programs; assist with salary benchmarking and compensation planning. Training & Development:** Identify training needs and coordinate professional development programs to enhance employee skills and engagement. HR Data & Reporting:** Maintain accurate HR records, generate reports, and analyze data to inform HR strategies and decision-making. HR Projects & Initiatives:** Lead or support HR projects such as diversity and inclusion initiatives, employee engagement surveys, and organizational development efforts.

Qualifications & Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred. Minimum of 5 years of HR experience, with a proven track record in various HR functions. Strong understanding of labor laws and employment regulations. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity. Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant HR tools. Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
