MUSEUM TECHNICIAN – CAPITOL DISTRICT / CULTURAL RESOURCES / CALIFORNIA STATE CAPITOL MUSEUM / SACRAMENTO

The reporting location for this position is the California State Capitol Museum, Sacramento CA. This position will work under the direction of the Museum Curator II.

The Museum Technician is responsible for skilled tasks relating to the documentation, maintenance, and preservation in the Capital District’s permanent collection. This position supports exhibit development and interpretive and special events program through object care and handling, record keeping, and basic research. As needed, this position will work district-wide and may also be scheduled at other Capital District units or the Statewide Museum Collection Center at McClellan.

Occasional travel may be required. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required when operating a state-owned or leased vehicle.
