Responsibilities:
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to the radiation oncologist's prescription.
- Operate and maintain radiation therapy equipment, including linear accelerators.
- Monitor patients during treatment and respond to any adverse reactions.
- Ensure accurate patient positioning and treatment delivery.
- Document treatment parameters and patient information.
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, physicists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure treatment accuracy and safety.
- Assist in the preparation of treatment plans.
- Provide patient education and support.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Certification in Radiation Therapy.
- BLS certification.
- Experience with radiation therapy equipment.
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience with Elekta equipment.
- Experience with Mosaiq record and verify system.
- Experience with ExacTrac patient positioning system.
Special Considerations:
- No floating between units.
- Weekend work is not required.
- Block schedules are not required.
